I have used Steam until now so I'm unfamiliar with the process to copy games on Uplay from one PC to another. To avoid leaving it on I download on my laptop then copy over. The reason I don't just download them on my gaming PC is because my internet is very slow (2.4 mbps) and I'd have to leave my gaming PC on for a super long time and I'm not keen on doing that.
I usually download large files/games on my laptop, copy them to my NAS drive and then install them on my gaming PC.
